2 types of two-factor authorization

We offer 2 types of two factor authorization:

1) with the help of access codes, and

2) using a two-factor authentication mobile app.

1) Authorization with 2fa using access codes

When you activate 2fa with access codes, you receive 21 codes.

Save them and store in a secure place. From now on, every time you want to log in, you will have to use access codes. After you provide your username and a password, you will get this dialog box.

Each code can be used only once. There is a counter telling you how many codes you have left, but you may get a new set of access codes at any time. The old set automatically becomes invalid. When you have 5 codes left, we notify you via email to remind you to get another set of codes. To do so, go to Security section in your Personal Profile and click on ‘Get access codes’. A confirmation code will be sent to your email. Depending on your email settings, this message may appear in Spam folder. Copy the code and confirm the action.

However, for better convenience you may choose to switch to 2fa option using Google Authenticator app on your mobile device.

2) Authorization with 2fa using Google Authenticator app

Mobile app option is a very secure way of authenticating users on our site. Once you sync your app with the site, an algorithm will verify the time of day on the site. If the times match, a one-time use code is generated. It will usually expire after 30 seconds.

Simply go to Settings/Personal Profile → Security → Two factor authentication and click on Open Settings.

Click on Google Authenticator and a confirmation code will be sent to your email to confirm the action.

A new set of 21 recovery codes will be sent to you as a safeguard, in case you won’t be able to access your account via Google Authenticator. We advise you to store them in a secure place.
