A selfie with an ID is basically what it is – you taking a picture of yourself holding the document.

To get quickly verified by our verifications team, produce a proper image where the ID is perfectly readable and your face is not blurry or out of focus. Also, make sure none of the text is covered, or any part of your face is covered by the ID. No hats or sunglasses.

Why selfie? Because you take a picture of a document containing personal and, may be, sensitive information that no one else should see. However, you may ask someone, like a family member, to help you take the picture.
